What we have built to, where we know we fall short, and how to get anything here in a format that works for you.

A disability provider whose own website is hard to use has failed at something basic. We build this site to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA and we treat gaps against that standard as defects, not as feature requests.
What we have done
- Every page works from the keyboard alone, with a visible focus ring and a skip link to the main content.
- Headings run in a logical order, and landmarks let screen reader users jump between regions.
- Body text meets at least 4.5:1 contrast against its background; large text and interface components meet at least 3:1.
- Images that carry meaning have text alternatives; purely decorative artwork is hidden from assistive technology.
- Text reflows without horizontal scrolling down to 320 pixels wide, and can be zoomed to 200% without loss of content.
- Motion and reveal animations are switched off for anyone whose system requests reduced motion.
- Form fields have persistent visible labels, and errors are announced rather than shown by colour alone.
- The accordion and navigation menus are built from native HTML elements wherever possible, so they behave the way assistive technology expects.
Known limitations
- Downloadable PDFs in Forms & Downloads are placeholders. Final documents will be tagged for accessibility, and an Easy Read version of the participant handbook will be published alongside them.
- Photography on this site is currently supplied at a lower resolution than we would like and may appear soft on large high-density displays.
Alternative formats
Anything on this site is available in another format on request — Easy Read, large print, or read to you over the phone. There is no charge and you do not need to explain why.
Tell us when we get it wrong
If any part of this site is difficult to use, email hello@avioncare.com.au or call 1300 000 000. Tell us the page and what happened. We aim to acknowledge within two business days and to give you the information you were after straight away, whether or not the underlying fix is quick.
